Frequently Asked Questions

TBS is a small batch completely from scratch bakery. 

We change our cupcake flavors out daily to keep things fun and interesting. 

Bar bakes and french macaron flavors change out weekly.

We bake in small batches to keep things fresh, so it’s best to visit earlier in the day for the largest selection but we do try to keep things stocked as much as possible, while not compromising our freshness. 

We are a fondant-free bakery and only work with buttercream. If you are looking to order a theme cake, we ask that you provide cake toppers, unless instructed otherwise at the time of ordering.

We ask that all orders be placed at least 7 days in advance. Our calendar fills up quickly in prime seasons- such as Holidays and Weddings. So the more advanced notice, the better. 

However, if you have a last-minute request- please never hesitate to reach out. We will always try to do everything possible to accommodate your request. We just require that all correspondence be swift and efficient in order for us to maximize our time in the kitchen making you a beautiful and delicious cake!

How much do you charge for a cake?

We get this question all the time! It's very rare, any two cakes are ever the same. As a result, we don't have a standard pricing list, unless you are ordering from our Pre-Design Menu. There are however two key elements that can help us get you a price quote ASAP!

1. The Sizing - how many guests are you estimating for your event?

2. How detailed is the cake? - If you can send us a photo of what you are looking for, or walk us through some of the details you have to have for your theme- we can generate a price for you.

Example: a buttercream cake with a classic "Happy Birthday" message will be priced differently from a Unicorn Cake or a Ruffled Cake with french macarons.

Do you offer wedding cake tastings?

Yes, we do! We only do them for weddings that are expecting 75+ guests. Tastings are held in our Avon location only on Saturday mornings. They are $35 and you pick 2 fillings, 3 cakes, and 4 frostings. We also do to-go tastings for $25. We ask that you come prepared with photos and a vision.
